Have you seen Camille Dotson?Camille Dardanes Dotson vanished in Las Vegas in September of 1994. Camille was 30 years old when she vanished, she would be 58 today. She is a white woman with hazel/brown eyes and brown hair that she sometimes lightened. She stood 5’7. She had a tattoo on her hip of the name “Cruz”. At the time of her disappearance she weighed 125-145lbs with an athletic build, and she had a recently broken nose and slightly discolored teeth. She smoked Marlboro cigarettes. She may have used the first names Nicole, Renee, or Kim and the last names Clarke or Diaz. On September 3rd, 1994 she left the Clark County Detention Center on foot and was last seen walking in the 300 block of South Casino Blvd. This would be the last time she was seen alive.
The beautiful, athletic, and academically gifted young Camille moved to Las Vegas as a single mom fleeing an abusive marriage. Trauma, financial struggles, and difficult circumstances drove her to resort to survival sex-work. At rock bottom, she battled homelessness and addiction. As heartbreaking as her story is, the worst part is the ending: One day she was here, the next she was gone - and nobody even noticed. Her daughter and a team of friends are dedicated to retracing her final years in Vegas and hopefully getting answers and justice.
